How we evaluate products
Last updated: 2026-10-21
We evaluate products on four facts. We publish the method so you can check it.
The four criteria
- Label dose — the amount printed on the product label.
- Approved claims — the wording in our claim library.
- Price — the current store price, per serving or per unit.
- Third-party testing — a seal, only when we verify it.
Label dose
We read the dose from the product label or the product page. Plans use that dose. We do not round up. We do not guess.
Approved claims only
Our claim library holds the wording we may use. The wording comes from the EU Register (Regulation (EU) No 432/2012) and from FTC-safe structure/function wording.
We use no other health claims. No hype words.
Price
We record the store price. We check prices on a weekly schedule. We show a "prices checked" date. Prices change. We do not promise a price stays the same.
Third-party testing
A seal, such as NSF or Informed Sport, shows only when we verify it on the exact product. If we cannot verify it, we label the seal "unverified" or leave it out.
What we do not do
We do not run a lab. We do not test products ourselves. We do not claim to.
We do not invent reviews. We do not publish reviews we did not write.
Ranking
We rank by the criteria you pick. Commission never changes a ranking. That rule is in the code.
